Grants FAQ
1. Who is eligible to apply for a grant?
Oregon Well-Being Trust awards grants for employer-sponsored wellness programs that support all their public education employees. Applicants that meet our eligibility guidelines, as well as grant-specific criteria, will be considered for funding. Applications should come from an employer, not an individual or a union*. For additional information on eligibility, refer to individual Grant Overview documents.
Organizations that are eligible to apply for an Oregon Well-Being Trust grant are:
– K-12 school districts, Education Service District (ESDs), and community colleges located in the state of Oregon
– Applying on behalf of their entire organization, not just a building, department, or specific employee group
– Not registered as a charter school unless they can demonstrate that their charter was established from an entire public school district converting to charter school status and provide documentation before applying for a grant
– Not currently receiving any other grant or benefit (including Community Event Support or Contracted Well-Being Services) from Oregon Well-Being Trust
*Many union members already benefit from Oregon Well-Being Trust grants through their employer. Well-being programs can achieve success and sustainability with input, support, and promotion from unions. The Trust asks all grant applicants and grantees to get feedback from their local unions before submitting their program plans.
2. Who is eligible to benefit from a grant?
Any current public education employee who works in a K-12 district, ESD, or community college in Oregon is eligible to benefit from a grant.
3. Can my organization be awarded a grant if we have another form of funding from the Trust?
Organizations that are currently receiving funding from Oregon Well-Being Trust (Community Event Support, Contracted Well-Being Services, or a grant) are not eligible. Former funding recipients who are no longer receiving funds from the Trust are eligible to request Community Event Support, Contracted Well-Being Services, or a grant. For Flourish Grantees, your organization must wait three years before applying for a Flourish Grant again.
