Cat currently serves as the Trust’s Grantee Coordinator and Engagement Facilitator. She has dedicated her career to addressing and undoing the structural inequities in communities, schools, and workplaces through staff training, programmatic support, expert facilitation, technical assistance, and meeting people literally where they are – school classrooms, juvenile detention facilities, and city streets, to name a few.

She holds dual Master’s Degrees in Social Work and Social Justice from Loyola University Chicago. She is an experienced trauma-informed facilitator with years of experience in restorative practices, helping students and the adults who support them.  In her role as a facilitator and trainer, she has worked to alleviate the impacts of burnout, trauma, and inequity among education professionals. She is also a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor who has taught thousands of individuals, including students and educators.

Prior to joining the Trust, Cat worked as a Social-Emotional Health Content Manager at the Alliance for a Healthier Generation on a Kaiser Permanente-funded project focused on educator well-being in the Pacific Northwest.

Her current responsibilities at the Trust include:

  • Leading an ongoing workshop series for grantees on the essentials of building and maintaining successful well-being programs and collecting metrics to measure impact.
  • Serving as an official liaison for grantees, offering technical assistance and other support to enhance their success.
  • Creating learning toolkits and other educational materials for the Trust.
  • Co-collaborating with other education organizations to raise awareness of educator well-being, and the importance of the Trust’s work.
  • Supporting logistics coordination for conferences and seminars.

A proud third-generation Oregonian, Cat enjoys adventures with her wife and family, and is usually found with a book in her hand.
