What is your work at the Trust?

I work with the team on big picture strategy and daily implementation to fulfill the organization’s mission and Board-approved directives. I oversee benefit offerings and financial management to ensure sustainability of the Trust and compliance with regulatory requirements by working with staff, trustees, business partners, and program and community partners. Lastly, I focus on the well-being of the Trust’s staff so that we can experience personal and collective well-being and embody our mission at work each day.

Why do I do this work?

I have a background in nonprofit management, resiliency, social services, inclusion, and workplace well-being. The Trust’s mission is well aligned with my interests and experience, and I find it fulfilling to support Oregon’s education employees. What is your work at the Trust?

Previous work/credentials:

Previously, I served as the Executive Director of Living Yoga, a nonprofit fostering healing and resilience through trauma-informed yoga for youth and adults in prisons, community health clinics, substance-use disorder treatment programs, etc. I have also served as Executive Director of the Children’s Justice Alliance and as an Account Manager for a workplace wellness company serving employer groups across the country.

Who am I?

My husband and I have two wonderful kids (a teen and a tween in the Beaverton School District). I love exploring all the gorgeous parts of Oregon with my family. They are 6th and 7th generation Oregonians, while I was raised in California and went to University of Denver in Colorado before moving to Oregon 20+ years ago and getting my MPA in Nonprofit Management from PSU. I also love venturing to new places worldwide, and being outside truly makes me happy!

What does well-being look like for me?

I like being active outdoors, trying new things, and traveling. When time allows, I enjoy hiking or walking, snowboarding, swimming, yoga, camping, and exploring new places. As a social introvert, I also rely on quiet, alone time, or connecting with a friend when I feel stress coming on.
