Sustainability Grant

Could your organization benefit from additional funding to continue your existing well-being program?

Sustainability Grants provide one year of funding and are designed to sustain established employee well-being programs.

While there are many ways to continue your employee well-being efforts, additional funding can help.

“The programs and activities we’ve been able to offer in our school district thanks to the Sustainability Grant have been a bright spot for me personally and professionally. To see and feel our employees interacting with each other in new and fun ways while taking small (or big) steps toward improving their overall health is a joy and a gift.”

Mary Young, Canby SD Wellness Coordinator

This grant is designed to support established well-being programs that, over the past year, have …

  • Had a dedicated wellness coordinator and wellness team who met regularly to plan and implement the well-being program
  • Regularly offered well-being opportunities and activities for staff
  • Collected staff feedback on well-being needs and interests
  • Secured active leadership support for their workplace well-being efforts

How This Grant Can Be Used

Sustainability Grants are offered to support the stability and expansion of established well-being programs.

With wear and tear, equipment in staff fitness or relaxation rooms may need to be replaced. Staff may request that certain events or celebrations, such as a staff retreat or food carts on all-staff in-service days, become a tradition. Sustainability Grant funds can help keep the most-requested parts of your program going!

Staff show circular signs they have painted to decorate their homes.

Some ideas for grant activities:

  • “Mini Grants” to individual sites or departments to meet unique, staff-identified well-being need
  • Childcare, transportation, or other services that can reduce barriers to participation
  • Additional well-being activities that address new staff needs or interests
  • Replacement or maintenance of equipment in staff lounges, staff fitness rooms, and staff relaxation rooms
